analog archive

Description

The analog archive is a physical collection of station-relevant materials curated since 1995. Structured around the ring taxonomy, the archive contains everything from hand-written documents to printed manuals, sorted as follows:

  • core: OMV protocols
  • com: Letters, faxes, postcards
  • culture: Flyers & posters
  • creactiv: Storyboards
  • cience: Manuals & guides
  • carbon: Gallery material
  • clamp: Timeline documents

Structure & Location

The archive is housed in a custom-built, mobile shelf unit located near the spiral stairs (the cpindeltreppe) in the Weltenbaulabor. While it can be moved, its standard docking point provides power via a single switch (on/off).

Shelf structure:

  • Top: Folders, DVDs, logbooks, almanacs, USB sticks
  • Middle: Eight primary binders
  • Bottom (locked): Tools and maintenance gear, managed by chronicle cervices

The Archiv-in-Box

The most accessible part of the system is the archiv-in-box: a freely usable dropbox where anyone can contribute content they consider historically valuable. chronicle cervices is particularly interested in materials from 2006 onwards, especially from workshops, talks, or community projects.

Join the Process!

Even new members find the archive to be a compelling read. And anyone noticing gaps or discontinuities in space-time records is invited to log or fix them.

To the continued expansion of the archive!
