aliens-not-permitted-sign

Description

The Alien Prohibition Sign is a semi-autonomous artefact designed to enforce soft access control within member-only areas of the c-base. Equipped with sensors and basic locomotion, the sign repositions itself as needed – usually appearing near transitions, open doors, or during high alien activity.

Its message, “No aliens please!”, may seem humorous, but it marks a clear boundary. Inside this zone, projects, devices, or crew interactions may require privacy or concentration – not suitable for casual observers.

Function

Integrated into the station’s presence network, the sign responds to badge activity, motion, and occasionally audio levels. If ignored, its reaction is subtle: a soft light pulse, or in some versions, a quiet log entry.

Notes

Legends say the sign once followed early board meetings through the station – others claim it was adapted from a rejected c-atre prop designed to interact with light-based behavior algorithms.
